India’s Education System Needs Improvement

Nirmal Singh Lotus points out that education in India has taken an unregulated path which is leading its host to disastrous outcomes, including criminal activities, suicides and other among schoolchildren. It is now time to review the things that are essential to robust the education system in order to make it socially usable for prolong period. Indeed, books play an integral role in transforming our lives with knowledge. Reading has become a primary source of entertainment for students and others.

Nirmal Singh Lotus thinks the primary means of communication to a wider audience is though words and in fact it should be in a civilized manner. Nowadays, reading has become a hobby for students, for the publishers are trying to produce ‘reader friendly’ content. This indeed builds a moral perspective on world. The main purpose of education is to instill hard skills as well as make them a better citizen. Professional growth is incomplete without the growth of personality which will indeed enhance the overall productivity of a country. Moreover, in the digital age there is no dearth of information. In fact, internet is the information superhighway where people are grabbing great knowledge.

Nirmal Singh Lotus thinks that state should intervene in the educational matter in order to make India a more desirable nation. Because there is no higher authority, education is being hampered and criticized in public domain. Media has in fact criticized our education in such a way that students are facing traumas, for they are committing suicides and taking this huge burden in their school bags loaded with books as bricks and stones. Also, they have this unmanageable syllabus which is never completed in schools and students are always agonizing about the unfinished humongous syllabus for which they have to sit in the exam. Obviously, these things are only going to mount pressure and tension over the students.

Nirmal Singh Lotus would further like to mention that creative minds are not trained in schools and colleges alone there has to be a strong ‘creating excellence’ in the young minds out there. A lot of factors leave an impact on the imagination of a student, including: films, educational trips, environment of classroom.
