RSS Chief: Contribution To Society Is The Purpose Of Education

Image
Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Chief, stated that the purpose of education should be to make students capable enough to reciprocate to the society. The education that the students have received should be put to a good and meaningful use so that the society gets some of their investments back from what they have provided for the education of the students, as per reports done by the experts at Nirmal Singh Lotus . "A life should be meaningful apart from being successful. Only then does the knowledge that a human being acquires become meaningful," the chief said while speaking at the foundation ceremony of Rao Mehar Chand Saraswati Vidya Mandir. "The purpose of education is not only to earn livelihood. Its purpose is to become capable for giving something back to the society in which we live. It is necessary to ignite these feelings to make education meaningful," he further added. The RSS wants to develop the youth of the country strong enough to fight the co

The Montessori Education System

Image
In the banking system, the student is often looked upon as someone who has no responsibility for knowledge of any type, and should simply memorize or cram up all the information the teacher asks him to. The experts at Nirmal Singh Lotus are against the education system in the banking sector as they argue that it is a system of control. The mentor is meant to mold and change the behavior of the student. The mentor tries to have them gobble information down that they might not even be interested in. It leads the students to develop a dislike towards schools and learning in general. It generates a sense of resistance towards learning that most students will only look for only when it’s about grades. In the opinion of Nirmal Singh Lotus , the only way to have true education in which the students actually involve themselves in gaining knowledge is a transition from the banking system to problem-posing education. Problem-posing education can work really well in Pedalogy. They appr

Brief analysis of private education in India

Image
Private schooling is the bedrock of the thriving education system of India. India has about 1.5 million K-12 schools and over 250 million students. While only 25 per cent of the schools are private, the student population is about 40 per cent in these schools. It is obvious enough that parents prefer sending their kids to private schools instead of governmental ones. According to an EY-FICCI report, this is true for rural areas as well which saw a jump in private school enrolments from 18.7 per cent in 2006 to 25.6 per cent in 2011. Students in private schools perform better and outdo those of government schools. An NCAER report shows that about 65 per cent of private school students are able to meet class two level reading which is just about 45 per cent for governmental schools. The same percentages in Math lie at about 57 and 39 respectively. Therefore, it is for justifiable reasons that parents prefer sending their kids to private schools. It is important to not

Even after such developments in the country, there is still a taboo that surrounds the mental health issues – the education system is unwilling to do anything about it which makes things even worse for the youth of India. Back in 2014, India surprisingly announced a policy to provide mental health services to those in need – it was the first policy regarding the mental health problems and was commended by the masses but the policy hasn’t been approved by the parliament. The recent economic structure of the country has been difficult for many families in the country. Regardless of their party alliance, politicians have come forward in support of the education loan that should be provided to the students. This has helped thousands of students to get professional education in India and with the new reforms coming in every year, that number is likely to go higher. Student loans, schemes and teachers who have come in support of the provision like Nirmal Singh Lotus have been making headlines in India for all the good reasons in recent years and aspiring young people have benefited from that. The main motive of the scheme is to provide interest subsidy on the education loans taken by students who belong to financially and economically weaker sections of the country. The initiative was taken by IBA [The Indian Banks’ Association] to bring in all the major banks in on the loan scheme. It formulated a concept, a model that asked the banks to provide

Image
Being a sexual being is more than just indulging yourselves in sexual activities. Sexuality, in more ways than one, makes us who we are and influences us through experience, education, culture, history and values. The curiosity is something that takes things to the next level when it comes to a child who his on the verge of hitting puberty but what about children who are younger? Things can be extremely confusing for young children if they are being exposed to sexuality in the ways that they shouldn’t be; this is why it is even more important for us, as parents, to provide result-focused sexual education to our children.
